Der Skandal, das Stadtgespräch als Sensation

Ein Missgeschick, ein Unfall oder ein Promi - alles Themen für den Boulevardjournalismus und deren Fotografen, die Paparazzi. Ein sehr tragisches Opfer dieser Jagd nach Sensationen war Prinzessin Diana. Ihr wird derzeit eine Ausstellung in London gewidmet, mit den Outfits ihrer frühen braven Jahre bis zum Glamour als Stilikone. 

Die Ausstellung ist 2 Jahre lang im Kensignton Palace, London zu sehen.

A misfortune, an accident or a celebrity - all topics for the tabloid journalism and their photographers, the Paparazzi. 
A very tragic victim of this hunt for sensations was Princess Diana. She is currently devoted to an exhibition in London, showing the outfits of her early decent years until the glamor as a style icon.

The exhibition is open now and runs throughout 2017 at Kensignton Palace, London.

Winter Wonderland

Ein Genuss im Advent ist ein Bummel über den Weihnachtsmarkt

Die Vorweihnachtszeit ist einfach schön: die Weihnachtsmärkte locken mit ihren Lichtern und der Glühwein duftet. Jeder Markt hat ein besonderes Flair. Neben kulinarischen Köstlichkeiten gibt es oft Kunst, Kunsthandwerk und Musik. 

Selbst London verzichtet nicht auf dieses Weihnachtsfeeling: 'Christmas Makets' im 'Bavarian Charm' locken im Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. Vielleicht träumt die junge Frau davon?  

Enyoing the Christmans markets during Advent season

The season before Christmas is so nice: The Christmas markets attract with their lights and the smell of hot spiced wine. Every market has a special flair: culinary delights, art works, handicrafts and music.

Even London does not waive this Christmas feeling: Christmas makets with Bavarian Charm lure at Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. Perhaps this young woman is deaming of?

Beyond Green - Birken an der Themse

Ist ein Besuch im Museum altmodisch geworden, wo sich Kunstevents und -messen die Klinke in die Hand geben?

Beeindruckend fand ich die Tate Modern in London. Früher ein Kraftwerk, wird seit 2000 Gebäude und Turbinenhalle für die Kunst genutzt. Kunst von der klassischen Moderne bis zur Gegenwart: Van Gogh, Salvador Dalí, Pop Art, usw., alle hängen sie dort, am südlichen Themseufer.

Von St Pauls über die Millennium Bridge bietet sich ein beeindruckender Blick auf das Museumsgebäude. Mit Birken ist der Vorplatz der Tade Modern umrandet - genauso, wie auf meinem Werk 'Beyond Green'. Ein idealer Platz zum Ausruhen und Innehalten in dieser umtriebigen Stadt.

Die Tate Modern ist jedenfalls einen Besuch wert, und das Beste überhaupt: Der Eintritt ins Museum ist kostenlos.

Does a visit to a museum become old fashioned, where art events and fairs follow hard on the heels of the previous one?

I was impressed by the Tate Modern in London. Formerly a power plant, the building and turbine hall is used for showing art since year 2000. All kind of art of the classical modernism to the present: Van Gogh, Salvador Dalí, pop art, etc., all are in, near to the south bank of the Thames.

A walk from St Paul's over the Millennium Bridge presents a stunning view of the museum building. Framed with silver birches the forecourt of Tade Modern offers the view like it is shown on my art work 'Beyond Green'. An ideal place to rest and pause in this bustling city.

Sensational view to St Paul's Cathedral and the skyline of the City of London (the financial district) gives a visit to the museum restaurant on the 6th floor. 
The Tate Modern is worth a visit in any case and best of all: the entrance to the museum is free.
